Description
This is A Reproduced version of the original sand wedge designed by Gene Sarazon in 1933. It was made by Wilson in 1988. Back in 1931 while fling with Howard Hughes Gene Sarazon invented the Sand Wedge. The idea came from the flaps on the wings of the aircraft. This is an original design true to the Gene Sarazon Sand Wedge with a similar looking shaft using modern technology. Steel with a plastic coating to look like Hickory. Later the design was sold to Wilson and produced as the Wilson Staff R90 Gene Sarazon Sand Wedge. The Gene Sarazon Special wedge R 20 is a faithful reproduction. A nice little item to mess around with or keep as a memento of gold days gone by. These usually sell online for around £40. I have left pics of an original version sold last year.
